The village Laugar in Þingeyjarsveit is about 40 km. from Húsavík, 40 km. from Akureyri through the Vaðlaheiðar tunnel and about 20 km. from Lake Mývatn.
The swimming pool in Laugar was opened first in 2005. It is a very good 12 x 25 meter big pool and two hot tubs and a childrens pool.
