With its great variety of facilities, Akureyri Swimming Pool is a perfect water paradise for the whole family. Facilities include two 25m heated outdoor swimming pools, five hot tubs of temperatures varying between 38 – 42°C, a sunbathing area with deck chairs, a children‘s pool, a steam bath, cold bath and three water slides – including the longest water slide in Iceland.
Akureyri Swimming Pool is popular with tourists and locals alike. An age limit of 8 years applies to the larger water slides.

Digital lockers are available in both indoor and outdoor changing rooms. Please note that members of World Class Iceland receive free admission via World Class changing rooms only. For other changing room options, see Accessibility.

Guests are required to shower without swimsuits before entering the pool.

Accessibility
A private changing room is available on the 2nd floor of the building, accessible via lift. It includes lockers, accessible toilet facilities, a hand-held shower with handles for support, and a mobile bench. A sling hoist is available upon request.
The private changing room is also open to non-disabled users upon request.
A portable pool lift is available upon request, which can be used to access an indoor pool, both outdoor pools and a large hot tub.

Free admission for disabled people is conditional to showing a valid ID.
Free admission for children is valid until June 1st in the year in which they turn 6.
Passes are issued onto an E-card for an issue fee of 1.000 kr. The issue fee is partially refunded when the card is returned.
Annual passes purchased at Akureyri Swimming Pool are also valid at Glerárlaug, Hrísey and Grímsey swimming pools.
