The swimming pool Jónasarlaug in Þelamörk is a great destination for the family.
The pool was built between 1943 – 1945 by the youth organisations in the area. The pool was named Jónasarlaug in honour of Jónas Hallgrímsson. The school opened in 1963 and at that time the pool was given to the schoool. A sports house was built next to the pool in 1991. In 2008 the swimming pool had some renovations done.
