The swimming pool in Álftanes offers their guest a bright, warm and relaxed atmosphere but at the same time those who want more action can also find it here.
The indoor pool is 12 x 8 metes with a view over the outdoor area. The inside pool offers the opportunity for parents with young children to play or practice the first swim strokes.
The outdoor pool is 25 meter long and there are two hot tubs, childrens pool and sauna. The only “wave” pool in Iceland is located here where all ages can enjoy a playful time. There are also two water slides, one is 10 meters and the other is 85 meters.

In Álftanes everybody can find a suitable walking path. The area is well known for a rich and diverse bird life as it is a stopping place for migrant birds. This is also the home to the Icelandic President at Bessastaðir.

More information about admission
- Childen 0 – 18 years do not have to pay admission. Payment starts on the day they turn 18 years old.
- No admission is charged after the 67th birthday.
Admission stops 30 minutes before closing. Children younger than 10 years old is not allowed admission unless they are with someone who can swim and is 15 years or older. From the 1st of june on the year they turn 10 years they are allowed to go alone, provided they can swim.
